I am so pleased that you have visited my site. Just to tell you a bit about what I hope to achieve with this site and a little bit about my history, I first became interested in holistic therapies about 10 years ago when my father became ill. He was diagnosed with chronic asthma and later COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmanary Disease) and anyone suffering from this terrible illness will know how dreadful it can be when you are gasping for breath and can’t eat or sleep. I decided to take a practitioner’s course in Reflexology in an effort to try to help him relax through these attacks. Whilst taking this course, I met a lady who is a Reiki master and decided that I would take my Reiki I “just to see what it was all about”. I am a bit sceptical about healing as a whole although an aunt of mine was a faith healer, as is my eldest sister and my mother would tell me about the time that my aunt healed me of a mysterious stomach complaint when I was around four or five years of age. I was immediately overwhelmed by the effect that Reiki had on me. As I always say to anyone who asks me about Reiki… ” I don’t know how it works, I just know that it does”!
